The Relic

Unearthed

This relic is being restored. Curators, archivists, and conservators are preparing it for the right keeper. Vows may be taken and we will dispatch the relic the moment the work is complete.

Mourning of the Spire is a book about what it costs to keep going when you have nothing left. A tinker who cannot fix children counts a dying boy's breaths like coins. A warden interrogates prisoners in a language that feels like a threat and cannot explain what moves in her when a girl sings in the dark and the living city responds. A storyteller who is not merely a storyteller fires a silver bolt down the throat of a demon wearing a dead man's face. Every character is stripped to their core. And underneath all of it, quiet and unannounced, something turns the bolt aimed at the ones it loves.

  • Book 2 of Canticle of Spring
  • Continues the first trilogy in the Songweaver's Tale series
  • Follows the fellowship into grief, courage, and a deeper call to something beyond.

Provenance

A beautifully illuminated manuscript held within the Long Memory, the great archive of the Order of the Rising Dawn. It is heavy and filled with tales from a previous age. The voice of the writings seems strangely... familiar?

Curator's Notes

The manuscript arrived wrapped in oilcloth, sealed at both ends. No accompanying note. The text is complete and legible throughout. Several passages appear to have been read many times - the ink is worn thin in places, as though a finger traced the same lines repeatedly. We did not alter these. Some marks belong to the work. Catalogued. Cleared for the Reliquary when ready.

Final purchase and fulfillment details will be announced before release.

$21.99 Pre-order vows are open. The relic will be dispatched once the release date is set and the work is ready.
